Imperative Sentence
Those sentence which denote order, advice, request, etc. are called imperative sentence .
viz = 1. sit down.
2. Come here.
3. Open the door
4. Close the door.
1. Tabe light food.
2. Do not play in the sun.
1. Please , give me a glass of water.
Word Order-
[Positive sentence - M.V.1 + object + other word.]
[Negative sentence - M.V.1 + object + other word.]
Exclamatory Sentence
Those sentences which denote surprise ,sorrow and happiness etc. are called Exclamatory sentence .
viz 1. Hurrah! I have won the match.
2. Alas! My car is lost.
Optative Sentence
Those sentence which denote wish, curse boon or pray etc are called optative sentence . viz -May you live long !
Compound Sentence
A sentence that contains two indepenetent clauses that are joined by a co-ordinating conjunction is called compound sentence .
viz Sneha is poor but leads a contented life.
[and, nor, but, or ,yet, so , either , ....... or, nither....... nor , though ...... yet , hardly...... when etc.]
Complex Sentence
A sentence having one main clause and at least one sub-ordinate clause is called Complex sentence .
viz Ram was overjoyed when he got the first prize .
Note A sub ordinate conjunction is used to join the main clause to the subordinate clause is the complex sentence .
Sub ordinate Conjunction
[If, because, since , that, till , untill, unless , when, where ,after ,although , as before ,as if ,so that ,as...... as etc.]
